Structurally complex and interesting geologically, Silverwood, has numerous thick base metal intersections that warrant further exploration.
Silverwood is located 15km South of Warwick in Queensland and consist of 164.5km2 of tenure. Situated in the Calliope Island Arc which hosts the Mount Morgan gold mine (+8Moz), Silverwood is comprised of numerous small scale historic mines and numerous known mineral occurrences.
The Silverwood project has been previously explored by the Geological Survey of Queensland (GSQ).
Initial Exploration Target of 0.8-1.0MT @ 3.2-3.7% Zn, 0.3-0.5% Cu, 15-25g/t Ag and 0.3-0.5% Pb.
Drill results show grades as high as 3% copper which were never followed up. Some significant interceptions include;
– 42.9m @ 2.33% Zn, 0.26% Cu and 0.26% Pb
– 27.2m @ 5.46% Zn, 0.69% Cu and 0.19% Pb,
including 12.3m @8.9% Zn and 1.2% Cu
